"Let’s Hope So": Musiala Confident About New Bayern Contract

Jamal Musiala's contract with FC Bayern Munich is set to expire in the summer of 2026. Negotiations with the exceptional player are ongoing, and he remains hopeful for a positive outcome.

Musiala himself is hopeful about staying at Bayern. “Let’s hope so!” he said when asked about a positive outcome to the talks. “Discussions are ongoing, but that’s all I can share for now.” A final decision doesn’t appear to be close just yet.

Sporting director Max Eberl expressed patience in September, mentioning an "exchange over months." Sporting director Christoph Freund also reported positive talks, expressing optimism. President Herbert Hainer made it clear that "money has never been an issue at FC Bayern."

The situation is clear: the record champions are determined to keep their key player, Jamal Musiala, beyond the summer of 2026, when his current contract ends.

And the player himself? Back in October, Musiala hinted that he is happy in Munich and open to a contract extension. In an interview with the Süddeutsche Zeitung, he discussed the ongoing exchange with the club's leadership and sounded optimistic.

Musiala on Bayern and His ambitions

In October, Musiala hinted at his happiness in Munich and openness to staying long-term. "Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world," said the attacking midfielder, who wants to avoid putting too much pressure on himself: "For me, it's about having fun, working hard, continuing to improve, and hopefully winning games and titles."

For now, the focus remains on keeping the 21-year-old playmaker at the heart of Bayern’s plans for years to come.
