Marmoush Transfer Looms - Unlikely to Play Against Dortmund

The transfer of Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt to Manchester City is almost finalized. He is expected to be absent from the squad for Friday evening's home game against Dortmund.

For several weeks, Manchester City has been pursuing Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush. Last Saturday, Eintracht's sporting director Markus Krösche confirmed contact with the club, and these negotiations are now in the final stages.

Although the transfer is not yet officially complete, the two clubs have reached an agreement on the transfer fee. Eintracht will receive a fixed fee of €75 million, with potential bonuses of an additional €5 million. Reports from Sky and Bild align with information from kicker.

It is almost certain that Marmoush will not feature in Friday evening's home game against Borussia Dortmund (8:30 PM, LIVE on kicker) wearing the eagle on his chest.

Farewell to Frankfurt After 1.5 Years

On Tuesday, during the 4-1 victory against SC Freiburg, Marmoush likely made his final appearance for Eintracht. He bowed out with a goal, two assists, and a new club record: with 15 goals in the current Bundesliga season, he surpassed Theofanis Gekas as Eintracht's top scorer for a first half of the season.

In addition, the 35-time Egyptian international recorded 10 assists. In the Europa League this season, he contributed seven goal involvements (4 goals, 3 assists), and in the DFB-Pokal, three (1 goal, 2 assists). However, after one and a half years at Eintracht, the next chapter of his career awaits in Manchester.
